My Thoughts on Servant Leadership

For me, it is always more that just running a project. 

In addition to my project management abilities and in each of the roles on my resume, I have always acted in the interests of the company as a big part of my job in analyzing business procedures. One of my strong suits is process improvement.  If I see a gap or a way to consolidate a process I will present the issue and possible solutions to leadership.  


My recommendations begin with talking to stakeholders and really listening to stakeholders in order  to understand their goals, pain points etc. and gain information on current operations.  I will outline those findings, what risk is involved and present possible solutions.  And again with regard to the software development projects like the two API projects that I have run, I act as liaison/translator for the end user’s needs and bridge the gap by also understanding facilitating and supporting the developer’s expertise. 

I am the servant leader in all my roles as I have found that true relationship building is integral to success in any project or operational endeavor.
